Allah bosszúja a melegvizért, valamint szeretjük Grúziát / Allah’s revenge for the hot water and we love Georgia

FOR THE ENGLISH VERISON – SCOLL DOWN!

Hm.

A társadalom jóvátehetetlenül kettészakadt.

Itt összpontosul a társadalom krémje, fekete terepjárók vetik a fényt. Ezek közül is kimagaslott egy G-Merci, AMG tuning, V8-as kompresszoros csúcsmodell.

Hősök vagyunk, no – a munkáé legalábbis mindenképpen.

We couldn’t wait on the morning to reach the sea again. We’ll have a day off during the rally in Sinop, it was important to find a good campsite. We did find a cool camping right on the beach, some 7 kilometers from the town. The owner is a nice fellow (and an offroader – biker too). In season they make fresh fish on grill, even during the Ramadan we’ll manage somehow.

Sinop is a nice little seaside holiday town with lots of places to eat and drink.

Oh, and it seems that they don’t have a problem with national identity as you can see on the photos. And this was not a national holiday, just a regular weekday.

There was another average day coming up with fast driving on the seaside road and playing stupid while setting up the challenges. The competitors won’t be bored on this stage too.We almost drove till Trabzon and finally stopped in a town called Ordu and stayed in a small motel right on the beach. The place was good but there was no water. Neither in the evening nor in the morning. Not because the heater broke down, just because.

We took revenge in the morning with not reminding the staff for forgetting to add yesterday’s dinner to the bill. And Attila was so mad at them that he stole an extension cord from the room. Well, they’d be better off switching on the “kalorifer”.

And then Georgia was waiting for us and we were waiting for Georgia. You can only like this country. It’s a bit run down both the cities and the people wear the invisible stamp of the past problems both in the socialist era and the economic and political crisis in the ’90s.The society is broke into high class and the poor. This is not the only thing which makes Georgia different. The whole country has some strange mood, the freedom which was so hard to reach for ages.
And of course the food and the drinks are exceptional, and the girls are beautiful. We are glad to be here again.

Just two short stories: the girl in the little booth at the border was almost shocked that Szabi (based on his passport) entered 4 times into Georgia last year. And he did it right before and after the conflict with Russia. He called everyone there to see this, they tapped his back and he had to say five times that he likes Georgia and promise eight times to come back again. All this with the girl speaking no other language than Russian. It was funny. She was a bit surprised on the fact that out of the 4 occasions he entered Georgia with 3 different vehicles (Lada Niva, Nissan Pathfinder and Jenny), but thanks for his promises she didn’t even get stuck on the fact that we only had a paper filled with handwriting as the official papers of the car.

After reaching Batumi we sat down for a beer on the street right next to the recently renovated (5*) Intourist hotel. This is the place where the cream of the Batumi society congregates.

There was a beautiful G-Klass Mercedes parking there: black finish, V8 engine with compressor, AMG tuned, whatever was available on the price list. We take a good look. And then a woman showed up from somewhere, another as super class just like the car. We took a good look again. The highlight was when one super class sat into the other super class (i.e. the woman into the Mercedes). We sipped into our beer and agreed again that we like Georgia.

While we were searching for our (very nice and very affordable) hotel we drank in another two bars, I mean we had to check another two places. How do we write the road book if we don’t check the places before, huh? That was only for the future participants. We are heroes – heroes of work, no question about it.
