As a minimal assistance event, we don’t tell you what to do or how to do it. We’ve held similar races in exotic places all over the globe and discovered that you have a better time when there’s no one holding your hand. The first decision: what category do you fit in?

Competition

Born competitors know who they are. They solve puzzles faster, require speed and have a special love for the number 1. Choosing to race means that you can have any combination of 1 to 4 people in a vehicle. You can plot your own course, but all checkpoints are required and earn a score. Checkpoints are awesome geo-caching challenges totally unique from anything you've done before. A combination of points and placement in the finish determine the winner. But do not forget: this rally is not about speed. It's all about endurance, creativity, personal and interpersonal skills and team spirit.

In this race only one place counts. It’s all or nothing. Sure, you’ll get an outrageously impressive trophy but the real draw is the grand prize. A free entry for a team of 2 to the 2009 Mumbai Xpress Autorickshaw Challenge , an epic rally across over 1,900 kilometers of gorgeous South India during the legendary monsoon season. Worth over 2,000 Euros you should be well satisfied in your new adrenalin-fueled adventure addiction.

Touring

Like to check out the scenery?
If you enjoy doing things your way, talking with people and having a good time then the touring category is for you.
There are no rules, no cut-off times and no scoring. You’ll have time to party (without early morning briefing) and get involved with charity programs along the route.

Vehicles

The Caucasian Challenge is unique in almost everything, especially that we don’t tell you want kind of vehicle you have to use. Go nuts!
Custom hot rod with rockets on the back? OK, but mind the speed limit. Or if your only option is grandpa’s 1973 Buick (or Vespa), that’s okay too. Obviously having a high-end, 4-wheel drive vehicle will make the journey more comfortable. But is that really what you want? Some of the best times we’ve ever had have been broken down in the middle of nowhere. We think it’s more than just a fantastic story; it’s a great way to step outside the dull safety net you’re tied into now.

What if you have the soul of a great explorer but a bank account like the rest of us? Luckily there’s a bunch of ways to get around that. From using your own car, to buying a cheap old one in Budapest (and selling it in Armenia) we can help you make it happen. Just ask us.
